THIS is what House Crazy Sarah envisions when she dreams of Paris.
And she dreams of Paris often…. one day she’ll get there.
HOTEL CARON DE BEAUMARCHAIS is a romantic boutique hotel in Paris, close to Notre-Dame and the river Seine in the historic Marais district.
Although the hotel is an ode to all things 18th century, it has only been around since 1992.
The owners wanted “a house that tells a story, that of the 18th century French , of its refinement, its cheerfulness and its extravagance.”
Have a look inside and indulge with House Crazy Sarah in your inner Francophile…
[FRANCOPHILE: a person who has a strong affinity towards any or all of the French language, French history, French culture, French architecture or French people]
The refined decor is said to be inspired by the 18th-century writer Beaumarchais (who lived in a neighboring mansion).
oh là là!
Each photo is like an exquisite still life painting.
There is also a fireplace that warms the lobby:
Now, let’s have a look in some of the sleeping chambres…
Dripping with opulence!
The rustic exposed rafters are unexpected but contrast beautifully with all the elegant decor.
Perhaps the best part of these rooms are the romantic balconies overlooking the city…
Can you imagine waking up to this serene scene?
The little balconies provide stunning views of Parisian architecture…
…and the Paris skyline…
A special part of the guest experience here is being served breakfast on a balcony.
Breakfast in France is an art form and this hotel does not disappoint.
This is the continental breakfast menu at Caron de Beaumarchais:
– 1 fresh orange juice
– coffee, tea (Mariage Frères) or hot chocolate
– 1 croissant
– baguette
– 1 pain au chocolat
– butter
– honey and jams (raspberry, mirabelle)
– 1 boiled egg
– 1 yogurt
– 1 cheese
– 1 paté
– 1 kiwi
Is your mouth watering? House Crazy Sarah’s is!
This little boutique hotel is the stuff of dreams!
