There’s something about a vintage 1920’s home hidden away in the dark cover of New Jersey woods that just screams gangster hideaway.
This estate in Berlin, NJ. was once a getaway home for famed American gangster Al Capone.
It was recently listed for sale and sold for $1.3 Million.

Al Capone had the right idea, because not only is this place set back from the road and hidden in thick trees, it is funky and fun as heck!
According to the listing, the infamous bootlegger moved here in 1927 to escape the Chicago heat – and not the weather kind of heat.

This bad boy bootlegger had good taste in homes, if not a little gaudy in the decor department.

The home has a total of 6,500 square feet with 4 bedrooms and 6 bathrooms.

It must have really been a downer when Al Capone landed in prison just a few short years after renting this place.
