Post Office Cottage At Permaquid Point Maine

House Crazy Sarah loves old country post offices.  This sweet little cottage was actually the former post office on Permaquid Point in Maine.

This darling structure is so cute, calm and homey – nothing fancy or super stylish. Just peace and quiet. What we all need, right about now.

The Post Office Cottage is now used as a two-bedroom vacation rental. It was renovated in the 1980s to become a quaint little getaway.

There’s not really anything left inside that hints of this building’s origins as a post office, but it is lovely nonetheless in a vintage sort of way.

Who loves old knotty pine kitchen cabinetry? House Crazy Sarah does!

The cottage comfortably sleeps two but can sleep up to four.

Perhaps the best part of this property is the lush, enchanting summer garden.

The Post Office Cottage is a five minute walk down the road to tide pools, beaches, picturesque farms, and is only half a mile from Pemaquid Point lighthouse.

What a wonderful place to hole up away from all the craziness in the world!
