As a vacation rental, your close-to-roughing-it experience starts at $145/night. Not cheap, but sometimes getting away from it all is worth a few pennies of your hard earned dollars.
Located in vibrant woodlands near Argyle, New York, this rustic retreat would be a fun honeymoon getaway, writer’s retreat, or just a place to unplug, unwind and get away from all the people. Because the world can be very people-y.
The owner/host Victoria boasts that the area is teeming with wildlife and is a “quiet rural spot on a country dirt road with great, but barely ever seen neighbors.” Sounds like House Crazy Sarah’s kind of neighbors! 🙂
Even though there is no indoor bathroom, you won’t have to skip far to the loo because the composting toilet is literally right next to the cabin.
It’s all very quaint and old-fashioned.
This off-grid cabin is made from reclaimed materials and furnished with vintage finds.
The rental has solar and battery lanterns, a wood stove, an outdoor summer kitchen, along with an indoor kitchen with a 3 burner propane cooktop.
