There are some places where you really can travel back in time.

The Argo Hotel in Crofton, Nebraska is one of them.

Currently being used as a residence, the old hotel has been preserved as a time capsule of days gone by in rural Nebraska.

Lucky for us, it is also for sale!

It seems that in recent years the Argo was used as a B&B.

Built in 1915, this old hotel has served travelers to northeast Nebraska for over a century.

The Argo Hotel has been meticulously preserved, from the pressed tin ceilings and numerous chandeliers to the restored woodwork, stain-glass windows, flooring, and antiques of the area.

Many of the furnishings come with the sale of the property.

It is listed at $750,000, which may seem like a lot for a small town hotel, but it has 12 bedrooms and 14 bathrooms in over 7,7000 square feet. Plus it has a large commercial kitchen, so the building has endless possibilities for usage.

You enter into the grand foyer and parlor which boasts a fireplace and original office with check-in desk.

The dining area:

Through the door, there is a small café and formal bar.

The living quarters on the main floor are quietly tucked away with a private bathroom.

Up the formal staircase where more history awaits…

On the second floor there are 11 bedrooms, 11 bathrooms, 4 private sitting areas, 2 rooms with access to the front balcony, and 2 laundry rooms.

You can almost smell the oldness in this place, just from looking at the photos!

The basement holds a hidden treasure: a separate outside entrance opens into what was once a speakeasy!

Further back is the “bourbon and cigar room”, with restored original flooring and impressive ship’s private bar.

There is also this cozy bonus room:

In addition, the basement has lots of storage areas like this one:

Looks like the Argo Hotel has fun at Halloween!
Back outside, there is a large park-like courtyard area.

What a stunning piece of Nebraska history!
