Don’t we all dream of owning and living in a fabulous French villa? House Crazy Sarah sure does!
This FSBO is located in a rural location in the SW corner of France in the heart of ‘duck’ country close to the Gers/Landes border.
This 19th Century former water mill-turned house is priced at €575,000.
It has recently been repainted and has those iconic traditional blue French shutters on the exterior.
The structure has been remodeled to the point where you can’t really tell it was actually once a working mill but apparently, the original mill race still runs under the house (now dry) and you can walk through the original mill workings under the building.
Unfortunately, there are no photos of this historic aspect of the building.
Located at “Lannux 32400”, this beauty has 4 bedrooms and the property runs beside a meandering river.
The package is perfect for ex-pats because it includes all furniture & fittings PLUS an LH Drive Peugeot 307 car in good working condition!
Let’s have a look inside…
A large “salon” with beamed ceilings, an open fireplace, and twin French doors is the pièce de ré·sis·tance.
The cream-colored kitchen is humble and charming.
None of the 4 bedrooms are huge, but they do have a very cozy feel to them.
There are several baths in the home and a couple are said to even have bidets.
There is a large patio for outdoor dining and enjoyment of the delightful landscape.
Another great feature of this property: a gorgeous 10m x 5m heated swimming pool with an electric cover, new winter cover, and infrared alarm system.
The one-acre landscaped grounds have panoramic views over maize & sunflower fields to the Pyrenees.
Another fabulous House Crazy Sarah find in southwest France – the stuff our French dreams are made of!
