It’s the time of year to tap the maples because the sap is running.
It’s maple syrup making time!
And look at this quaint little place House Crazy Sarah came across…
Welcome to Folsom’s Sugar House in Chester, New Hampshire.
Folsom’s Sugarhouse produces pure maple syrup, maple candy, cream, and sugar.
Have a look inside… it’s adorable!
Brian and Sue Folsom began tapping their trees and making their own maple syrup back in the 1980’s with some equipment they borrowed from a neighbor.
They fell in love with the old fashioned process and the authentic finished product so Brian built a sugar house on their property.
The Folsom’s have been selling their maple syrup products to the public since the 1990’s.
You can also visit the processing room to see how the sap is boiled down.
House Crazy Sarah’s family tapped their maple trees and made homemade maple syrup when she was a girl in rural Canada so she has fond memories of the process.
And the smell! Oh the sweet smell of fresh sap!
Maple syrup making time is almost over for the season in most places. Pretty soon spring will melt away into summer.
But Folsom’s Sugar House is even more adorable in the summer!
Sweet!
