Look at this beauty that House Crazy Sarah dug up for you!
She wasn’t sure how to categorize it because it’s an 1856 Farmer’s Bank converted into a funky cafe. But it could be a house. It’s for sale so you could do anything you want with it!
Look at how it appeared before it was renovated:
It had a Gothic feel – kind of drab and foreboding. But with a power-washer and some perky paint, the current owners gave it a much needed infusion of love.
The listing price is a mere $129,000! Now, you may be asking: Where on earth can you get such a steal House Crazy Sarah?
Well, in a teeny-tiny town in Kentucky called Smiths Grove (population 784).
You can get a nice little run-down of the history of the place here.
Even though it’s currently being used as a cafe, the former bank building has one bedroom and one bathroom, so you could actually live there! It has a total of 1,500 square feet.
Have a peek inside…
House Crazy Sarah wishes the realtor didn’t try to be all artsy-fartsy fancy when taking these photos at a cock-eyed angle. House Crazy Sarah is too old for that shit. It makes her dizzy. 🙁
Here are some straight-up pics so you don’t have to get a kink in your neck:
Yay for bohemian decor! (Apparently it’s a vegan cafe.) The simple old-timey farmers who banked here in years past are probably rolling in their graves.
Out back, there is a lovely patio area…
If you are on the prowl for something unusual (like House Crazy Sarah always is), this may be your special place!
