When you think of Spanish Mission-style homes, the Pacific Northwest is not the first place to come to mind. Vintage craftsman bungalows are the usual fare. But here in Portland, Oregon, you will find this 1927 Spanish beauty currently for sale.

It is listed for $1,195,000.

The exterior is lush with greenery and Mediterranean details.

The 5,135 square foot home has 4 bedrooms and 5 bathrooms.

The street side of the house appears to be one level, but from the drone view (below) of the back of the home, you get a better sense of the multi-level expanse of the dwelling.

And the tile roof appears to be in mint condition!

A beautiful detail on the private rear side of the home is the wrought iron balcony.

Let’s have a look inside!

The foyer with traditional Spanish-style arches, niches, and tile flooring opens to the formal living room.

The quaint sunken living room features a gas fireplace, wood floors, and a barrel-vaulted ceiling.

Off the living room is a cozy den with a wood-burning fireplace and a traditional beamed ceiling.

The 1920s details in the architecture and some of the furnishings are fabulous.

Check out the chandelier in the dining room:

The kitchen is, unfortunately, kind of… meh.

Too bad there are no remnants of the 1927 kitchen… that would’ve been superb!

Instead, we get this 1990’s country/weird tile mish-mash.

But, the redeeming feature is a cute little breakfast nook off the kitchen.

In the elegant turret staircase, there is a gorgeous period light pendant.

The master suite is located on the garden level of the home.

The master features another gas-burning fireplace.
We only get a couple of peeks at the 5 bathrooms in the house.

Custom Spanish-style tile abounds!

Apart from the bland kitchen, this home has great Mediterranean character inside and out.

The lushness of the Pacific Northwest only heightens the allure of this Spanish-style beauty!
