This whole grey-on-grey trend has gone a little far, in House Crazy Sarah’s humble opinion.

Case in point: this completely grey house currently listed for sale in Detroit, Michigan.

Detroit is already a depressed area, but when you add in these dreary grey November listing photos during the dark days of COVID, well, let’s just say it makes old Eeyore seem like a bundle of joy.

The white, modern furniture does little to liven up this bastion of dread and darkness.

The black sheer window coverings are reminiscent of a Victorian widow’s mourning veil.

Doom & gloom abound in this 821 square foot 3 bedroom, 1 bathroom eyesore.

If your Seasonal Affective Disorder and your regular depression weren’t enough to give you suicidal tendencies, spending 5 minutes walking through this house might push you over the edge.

It makes House Crazy Sarah feel oppressed.
She envisions a sad, single vampire bachelor living here.

Even the towels are grey! Yuck.

The master bedroom has a nightmarish quality about it.

A white bedspread and a pop of color on the cinder-block bedside stand do not a happy home make.
The attic bedroom feels like a coffin:

The third bedroom:

It looks like someone took a can of dark grey spray paint and just spray-bombed the entire space. 🙁

In what universe would this be considered attractive?

The only bright spot in the house, surprisingly, is the white-washed basement:

Perhaps even the grey-loving owner couldn’t stoop so low as to make the basement dark and gloomy.

The price for all this depressing anti-charm?
A mere $69,900.

So if you are looking for a great – albeit completely depressing – deal in Detroit, here you go!
A little light-colored paint would go a long way towards rehabilitating this tomb of gloom.
