Texas is no longer the stereotypical land of long-horns and dusty 10-gallon hats. On the contrary, Texas is design central for those who are into rustic cottage-chic style (Chip and Joanna? We don’t even need to reference their last name!)

A woman named Amy Kleinwatcher from La Grange, Texas converted this old grain silo into a beautiful guest house which she named Old World Antieks.

The silo retreat is filled with antiques and up-cycled vintage finds like the tin ceiling tiles (below) and old windows that were salvaged from a dental office:

Pretty much everything in the rusty silo is a vintage redo.

Before converting the silo, the owner had already built a farmhouse out of recycled materials and wanted to put a guest house on her property.

The out-of-use grain silo was the perfect base for this 1,000-square-foot cottage with a front porch, bedroom, and bathroom.

So let’s give Texas credit when credit is due: they sure make old things look purdy down there!
