This place has the distinction of being the oldest medieval house in Eastbourne, UK.
The timber-framed dwelling named “Pilgrims” is in fact the oldest surviving home in the region.
The decor dances back through the decades – nay, the centuries!
Pilgrims is currently listed for sale, but no asking price is posted. That probably means it is really pricey.
The dwelling dates back to the 14th Century and is thought to have been constructed by the monks of Lewes Priory as a hostel along the old route following the south coast of England.
This is a Grade II listed building.
