Eureka Springs, Arkansas is one of House Crazy Sarah’s favorite places to house-peep.
The town is renowned for its quaint Victorian cottages that dot the hilly landscape.
This adorable Folk-Victorian Cottage is located on the “Upper Historic Loop” – the heart of the historic Eureka Springs.
This is not a huge house at 1,430 square feet, but the interior rooms are cozy and perfectly appointed.
The home dates back to 1900 and features original millwork in a dark stain color.
The 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom home is currently listed for sale for $369,000.
The listing includes some photos of the rooms after the sellers moved out so you can get a better sense of the space.
On the other hand, it is also nice to see how the sellers had it furnished – they did such a great job staying true to the historic cottage spirit of the home!
The ivory-colored kitchen is quiet and understated.
Isn’t there just something about a lamp in the kitchen that calls out cottage cozy?
Let’s look upstairs…
The dark wood floors continue on the upper level which features 2 bedrooms and a bathroom.
Below are before and after pictures that show the furnishings and then the bare room in what is being used as a guest bedroom:
The upstairs bath is adorable with two multi-pane windows that let the sunlight stream in.
Below is the master bedroom – nothing grand like modern master bedrooms, but quite pleasant in its traditional decor.
Off the upper level is a charming balcony from which one can enjoy a view of the other historic homes on the Loop.
The property also features a private, fenced-in backyard and a garage.
The garage still sports the original carriage doors.
If you are looking for the most perfect vintage cottage in a lovely town known for its Victorian charm, this place is for you!
