Fairy tales are made in places like this…
In the countryside of Tyrol, Innsbruck in Austria is this enchanting Inn.
It has stood in this spot since the year 1455!
It is called the Weisse Rössl in Gries am Brenner.
And yes, it is for sale for the price of 2,520,000 EUR (approx. $2,847,095 USD).
This quaint historic hotel stands against the stunning backdrop of the majestic Austrian Alps.
The Weisse Rössl has a total of 35 rooms and 26 bathrooms in 15,338 square feet.
Have a look inside…
The structure first served as a post and horse-drawn carriage station and is cited in historical documents from the 1400s.
The traditional inn “combines a meal with a journey through time about the north-south connection from Austria to Italy.”
There are three separate parlors on the ground floor that have been thoroughly renovated over the years but still retain some original features.
Pictured below is a ceiling painting of the Annunciation from the 18th century!
The dining room has a fireplace and wall murals done by Tyrolean artists.
Despite the modern renovations, the Weisse Rössl retains a rich Bavarian flavor.
The inn has three floors – the guest rooms are located on the top two floors.
Modern styling has largely overtaken old-world charm in the decor of the guest rooms.
But, a stay at the Weisse Rössl would not lack in creature comforts!
Carpe Diem folks: a 600-year-old renovated inn tucked in the Austrian Alps – what a dream!
